DEA provides the people, the experience, and the equipment necessary to make any marine services project a success. Our staff has conducted more than 500 major hydrographic surveying projects in coastal areas and inland waters throughout the United States and in the Caribbean and has extensive experience both at home and abroad with federal and state agencies as well as private companies.

Cutting-edge field equipment and computers augment DEA’s expertise. These tools allow the firm to maximize the effectiveness of its field personnel and maintain high levels of production and accuracy.

The John B. Preston, DEA’s custom-built hydrographic surveying vessel, was named for Oregon’s first surveyor general. This vessel is designed for both inland and offshore work.
