Global Design Alliance

In 1993, DEA co-founded the Global Design Alliance (GDA), the first global alliance of architecture and engineering consulting firms. GDA's 3,000 professionals provide the expertise for any form of built environment, from infrastructure to building design to facilities management.

GDA was formed in response to demands for a full range of architecture, engineering, and design services from a single point of contact. Clients may access the entire network of alliance members through their local GDA affiliate, while each firm retains its own unique identity and specialized expertise.

By conducting joint research projects aimed at understanding its clients' industries, and by inviting clients to participate in roundtables several times annually, GDA obtains a clearer view of the issues its clients must face in making facilities and business decisions.

The alliance has grown from the original nine firms to twelve, with plans to expand. With each new member the alliance increases the available brainpower, geographic reach, and range of services available through each affiliate.
